Official: Shabani Appointed as Tunisia National Team Manager for Four Years
The Tunisian Football Federation announced on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, that Muin Shabani has been appointed as the national team manager, replacing Herve Renard. This move comes after Renard’s tenure and aims to rebuild Tunisia's football nation in the wake of a disappointing World Cup performance.
It is worth noting that Shabani concluded his tenure with NK Al-Kharthoumi of Morocco recently, making this an unprecedented opportunity for him to lead the national team Tunisian following more than few questions about how they performed during the FIFA World Cup.
Qualification Campaign and Coaching Team
Shabani boasts a plethora of experiences from his coaching stint in clubs. He managed to secure impressive results that paved the way for replacing current KairouanES manager Sabri Lamouchi. While France said farewell to Renard amidst poor performances, Shabani arrives with vast experience from both club and national teams, making this his first move as national team coach.
